Belarus: For the development of tourism in Belarus has created new conditions.

Belarus has taken measures to further stimulate the development of rural tourism. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on November 26 number 614, which amended the decree of June 2, 2006 № 372 "On measures to promote tourism in the Republic of Belarus", BelTA learned from the presidential press service of the state.

According to the accepted order of service in the field of rural tourism will be entitled to not only individuals, peasant (farmer) economy, and agricultural organizations - legal entities engaged in production and (or) processing of agricultural products, the proceeds from the sale of which is at least 50% of the total proceeds of the agricultural organizations.

Increases up to 10 rooms permissible capacity to accommodate the farmsteads agroekoturistov (previously 5 rooms). This action will involve additional agrousadby turn, will deliver a stimulus for the development of existing ones.

Period of validity of the decree of June 2, 2006 № 372 is extended for 10 years, which will guarantee the subjects of rural tourism and want to make this kind of activity.

Decree provided for the provision of credit open joint stock company "Belagroprombank" farm tourism stakeholders to implement projects in the field of rural tourism in 2010-2020 in the amount of up to 2000 base units for up to 5 years (for individuals - up to 7 years) with interest payments at a rate of 5% per annum . Provides for compensation "Belagroprombank" losses associated with the provision of such loans annually since 2010, with funds provided for in the national budget for this purpose, amounting to half of the refinancing of the National Bank, established on the date of recovery, increased by one percentage item.

As explained in the press service of the adoption decree will boost the volume of services provided by the subjects of rural tourism, improvement of rural infrastructure, small towns, to increase employment and stimulate citizens.

In 2009 the territory of Belarus have been working in the field of rural tourism business entity 884. The number of tourists who used their services for 2009 amounted to about 70 thousand people, which is 1.8 times more than in 2008.
